How to Create Embed Popups With Optinly?

Embed popups/inline popups helps improve user experience on a website. It is an even more professional and powerful way to collect leads when compared with popups, thanks to its distraction-free feature.

Let’s look at how you can create an inline popup with Optinly.

Step 1: Once you have installed and activated Optinly, you’ll be taken to the welcome screen. Click “Add New Campaign” on your screen or the “Click Campaign” option found on the top right corner of your screen.

Step 2: When clicked, give a name for your popup campaign and choose an appropriate marketing goal.

When done, click “Create” at the bottom of the window to proceed.

Step 3: You’ll be headed to Optinly’s popup gallery where you get to choose from a wide range of responsive, predesigned templates.

Click the “Embed Popup” tab and simply hover over a popup template. Click “Use Template” to start using it.

Step 4: Once when clicked, you’ll be taken to the popup display rules/triggering options window. This is where you’ll be tweaking your popup display options. You can also have a sample preview of your chosen popup template.

Choose when you should display your popup to your visitor once he lands on your page. Enter the number of seconds manually in the provided field box.

You can also choose when to display your popup again to your visitor by entering the number of days in the field box below it.

When you’re done setting display rules, it’s time for some customization.

Step 5: Click the “Customize” option found on the top left corner of your website. Optinly’s inbuilt popup editor allows you to tweak your popups to a great extent.

Once you’re done customizing, click the “Save” button to update your changes and head back to the display rules section by clicking the “go back to settings” button.

Step 6: Now, if you’re using a custom website, say Javascript, copy the HTML code, head to your index.html file, scroll down to the appropriate page and place it within the body section.

If you’re using a WordPress website, log in to your WordPress dashboard. Choose the page you want to display the embed popup. Add a “shortcode” block and paste the code.

Head back to the Optinly app. Click “Save & Set Live” to make your popup campaign live.
